Neuroscience & Sahaja Yoga

Meditation helps quiet the brain’s “overthinking network” (Default Mode Network), reducing constant thoughts and bringing a state of mental silence.

Attention: How it works

The three aspects of attention; alerting, orienting and executive control play an important role being able to manage ourselves. Meditation elevates our attention onto deeper aspects of our lives.

Ancient Wisdom & inspiration

Science gives us the tools to understand the mechanics of creation, but ancient wisdom inspires us to know our place within the collective power that supports us.

Role of the Guru

Gu: "darkness" (ignorance, illusion, and confusion).
Ru: "destroyer," "dispeller," or "that which removes."

The right Guru dispels the darkness of ignorance and reveals the light of truth.

All Sahaja Yoga meditation classes are volunteer-run community events and are completely free of charge.

Everyone is welcome — regardless of age, background, or experience. There is no need for mats or special outfits.

To fully experience the transformative power of this practice and establish a deep inner balance, we warmly encourage you to complete all four weeks of the program.
